QUALITY FROM ITS ORIGIN TO YOUR HOME (ITS HISTORY)
Catalina canning is a family business that began in 1999. Throughout these years the company has been developing a range of products selected from among the best, and what is very important, worked with the expert hands of the women of Santoña. Its star product is the Cantabrian anchovy.
Every spring its factory begins a boiling period that lasts until June, the month in which the anchovy season in the Cantabrian Sea ends. They buy the fish in the auctions of the brotherhoods to take them to their factories where a delicate and careful process begins . The anchovies are headed, then salted and kept in salting for between six and nine months. After this time, essential for their maturation, they proceed to work them one by one, removing the skin and a part of the salt. The artisan hands of the women of Santoña wash and dry them and then fillet them with care and place them in the cans and jars that are covered with olive oil.
They have won the award for the best anchovy in Spain in 2014 and 2015 , as well as the great taste 2 stars of London in the same years. The quality of its anchovy is unquestionable and it is a very recognized brand.
