Es importante sacarlo del frigorífico si es fresco unos 10 minutos antes. Aunque no es necesario que este en el frigorífico por ser una conserva, pero al tenerlo en frio antes de consumirlo saldrá en bloque con una mejor consistencia y cuerpo para ser servido.

Lo mejor es degustarlo al comienzo de la comida para percibir mejor los sabores y sensaciones que desprende este gran producto.

Para degustarlo lo mejor son tostas, biscotes o pan rustico, otra opción son los panes con pasas. Para maridarlo podemos consumir vinos blancos servidos frios, cavas, champagnes o vinos dulces o de Jerez
